They are still going to use finite rare earth elements that are, as yet, irreplaceable.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0007pzx goto 37:20 for the start of the topic use of the rare earth elements in smart phones.

I don't own one myself. Neither do I drive, or fly. :virtue signaling to the nth degree: :snub:

I'm waiting for the phones that roll up like window shades.

I'm expecting an implant that you turn on/off with the blink of an eye, or some such shortcut, enabling access to the net and all of virtual reality.

I think phones are perfect the way they are. A fruit rollup phone seems amusing but then you've gotta deal with plastic. It will be a long ass time before alternative methods of display offer the same visual fidelity and durability as what we have now. They could make them a bit thinner though, and make it so microphones, cameras, and that payment shit(NSF?) can be physically disabled. A little toggle  button that goes back and forth.

Give and take my man. This is why I only paid $130 for my phone. Had it for maybe 6 months? The wife has the same one, she's had hers for over year for sure. Year and a half? Good phone as far as I'm concerned just some issues with the fingerprint id thing sometimes

No, phones aren't the future at all.
They're already done, no new innovation, all crap.

Clean air & water would be nice to have in the future.

You can't get both.

Do you want a folding phone or clean air?

If we could fold space we would never have to worry about this lonely planet again.
