Colorado best weed recreational or medicinal? difference?

I was wondering the difference in recreational and medical flowers in Denver, I got sad when I couldn't get the strain I wanted... are they strict about the ounce limit per shop? I forgot, how much is tax?
I'm from CA and prefer the patient to patient, better deal on meds that way but shops are nice for variety. anyone got an idea where to hangout in denver and blaze?

I would advise staying away from larger chain dispensaries if looking for quality bud. Smaller dispensaries seem to care more about their products and relations than a bottom line.

Shop around. Many to choose from. I just started driving an extra mile or so farther from a dispensary I usually go to, simply for a larger selection of better bud.

By better I mean good consistency and not all dried out from sitting in a plastic bottle for who knows how long.

There's literally no difference between  medical and recreational. In fact arguably medical was worse until recently because they didn't require contaminant testing. Some grows literally just take Like 15/100 plants after cutting and tag them as medical. I worked in a grow where they had 6 recreational plants just so they could hand out edibles to non-medical patients legally.

It's all just taxes

I've had the opposite experience in many cases at least in Oregon, the bigger chain dispensaries tend to buy way more in bulk allowing them to have more quality cheaper strains available.

For example most dispensaries here now carry at least 2-3 strains in the 40-50$~ ounce range, but most of the smaller ones have mediocre strains in that price usually. While some bigger dispensaries will carry 5-10~ quality ounces in the 50$~ range.

One thing to keep in mind is the best deal strains tend to sell out ASAP, so it helps to call in regularly and ask what they have. Online listings are often old or inaccurate IME. And I've seen many new strains start out on the lowest shelf despite being great quality only to end up selling for 2-3x the price later.

It is very much like that here , nobody where I work will smoke that weed

this is and was only 100% medical

Many dispensaries are buying from the same growers, the difference is a larger store/chain can afford to buy more in bulk and pass savings onto the customers.

I still shop in plenty of smaller/local dispensaries and some are great, but they tend to have less stocked and run out faster as such. Where as some bigger places can be much more consistent in their bud.

Anyways the best deals are usually buying directly from growers, but the rec/medical market is pretty crazy here in Oregon. I've scored some great ounces for 35-50$, both from smaller and larger stores.

I just wish we'd get on the delivery game already. A few local dispensaries delivery but the ordering process is super shitty, always out of date info online so you have to call in. Can't wait for it to be streamlined :drooling:

That's what I love about America when it comes to weed you guys are pretty much free to plant what you want?

It's not like that here

All government strains and phenotypes nothing exotic , not that it's bad just boring and very low quality

So every weed company here is pretty much the same , so many aphids on the plants they look  like a sesame seed bagel

But nobody cares and they just want to go home

Sorry if it sounds bad it's the truth though

It's better in the States that have had Legal Weed the Longest. Colorado, California, Oregon, and Washington all have as good of Weed as there is in the World.

The stores are unbelievable, better than Amsterdam by far. Hundreds of strains, hundreds of edibles, Shatter, Carts, pre-rolls, ETC. Endless well priced possibilities and also connoisseur pricier goods.

It's great because what they sell as 'Cheaper Bud' is still A fucking ONE 8.5\10 Chronic. When States first legalize the prices are higher and quality lower than even Street Weed but eventually it gets Cheaper and the variety\quality rises as the Competition enters the market.

As for growing it yourself there are some States like Colorado that are much better. I think you can have like 12 plants in one house at a Time in Colorado.

The extract market is getting crazy too. I've scored THC crystals in terp sauce for like 18$/g, as well as some delicious quality hash oil for under 10$/g. Just tried some Sour Apple "terp sap" that tested at 10% terpenes and holy shit is it tasty, literally tastes like apples instantly then gets progressively more sour as the aftertaste comes on :crazy2: Been meaning to try some more from the same brand.
