Panaeolus ID - North QLD, Aus (Winter)
    #26097323 -

Hey Team,

I need some help IDing some unknown Panaeolus species. Im on the fence on them, I dont believe them to be Pan. Cyans, which I have found here previously in the wintertime.

Temperatures we slightly lower at night when I found pan cyans before. I believe I found this species amongst them but cant remember the ID or if they are active. I checked my hotspots for pan cyans and found lots of this species though..

Habitat: Mix palm/hardwood mulch. Thick layer of composting mulch with hard pieces on top. Some out in the open, most in partial shade/protection from sun.

Gills: Black, to dark grey.

Stem: Dark redish mixed with whiteish. Thin, less than 5 mm in most fruits. Very weak and brittle. Some minor, very difficult to notice dark blue (hopeful I reckon) but more of a blackish blue black bruising where cut at soil level from mycelium.

Cap: Brown, mixed with tan, not much/no noticeable bruising on caps.

Spore print color: Black, dark dark grey if not black. But pretty black.

Bruising: Minor bruising at base of stem where cut from substrate. Not as obvious bruising as pan cyans I have found in same location previously.

Location: North Qld, near Mackay, coastal climate.

Temperature at night has been in between 14-16 oC, daytime temps around 19-21 oC.

Thanks for the ID help, you guys rule.
