The amount of love and encouragement you all sent out yesterday was overwhelming. I literally can’t respond to the amount of messages, email, notes received so I just really want to humbly say thank you so much

I really need to thank my team… there are so many hard working beasts & angels who slave away for very little recognition, all for the love and magic of creating these moments. So many people came together yesterday and it was awesome. I had a kind of strange sensation, because I had a moment of zen when I found out - I wasn’t really sad I was just like….. it felt psychedelic like a cosmic joke… I think I chuckled said “wow” and then kind of went cross eyed and sat there in a daze for a few minutes tripping out… I had to say goodbye to one of the most magical and intentional sets we have been working on FOR SO LONG, and pooooof! Like that it was gone.

But I did not feel sad, because… really, it’s just a luxury: and in the grand scheme of things, it’s not worth getting upset over. I only felt bad [SO BAD] for the thousands of incredible, dedicated, passionate bass heads who were looking forward to going… ESPECIALLY the hard working humans from out of state who no doubt spent an arm and a leg to make the journey, and I was just unbelievably gutted - it’s those people that we slaved for yesterday, to fuckin INSIST that ‘the universe’ stop being a little brat, and just let us do our thing and bring people together.

So it all worked out… the irony is that for several years I am constantly begging anyone on my team who will listen: “please don’t put me on a stage, please let me play in the dark, please let me broadcast a musical transmission when nobody is looking at me, or caring what I’m doing and just losing themselves in sound”… and now: IT’S A DREAM COME TRUE!!!!! Tonight we get to conduct this experiment in fun, and it is truly thrilling

So for all the people who reached out and sent such thoughtful love letters and pats on the back: we love you! Our whole team loves the fuck out of you

Thanks for believing in us and allowing us to work these dream jobs where we get to ride the lightening like this
