Finally! Bassnectar is coming to town in November. Can't fucking wait for some face melting basslines.

This town is such a shitty waste of space when it comes to electronic music. Everybody was telling me when I moved here "oh we've got a great music scene, one of the Midwest's best."  Yeah... if you like shit music. Fuck blues, fuck rock, fuck folk and country. There is no electronic scene here, underground or otherwise. Unless you consider the gay club's "DJ" that "spins" "electronic music" one night a week.

Enough bitching. Yay Bassnectar!:laugh:

bassnectar kind of sucks. everything ive heard from bassnectar has been extremely repetitive and annoying as fuck after a short time. some stuff was cool. :shrug:

theyll be at underground sound, so i guess ill see them when im there.

His music isn't the greatest but I can groove to it. I bet his live show is pretty sick though.

Pilze, you're going to UGS? I'll be heading over there with a couple of friends. I can't wait to see Astral Projection. It's going to be epic.

I'll agree, Bassnectar's stuff isn't the greatest. He does put on a good show, though. He looks goofy rocking out over a couple decks with that long hair.

i really love bassnectars original music, but he never plays it live.  he just dj's top 40 horse shit.  i was really dissappointed when i saw him at detroits electronic music festival.


but have fun!  the cinemas on the projector are awesome.

He puts on a badass show, when I saw him he did Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and I just about shit myself.

He did a nice remix of Strawberry Fields two years ago at Camp Bisco. I don't remember much of his main stage set last year, though. I was pretty fucked at the time.

I saw him at an event up in... Fort Wayne I think, last year. Got one of his mix CDs and it's pretty nice.
