If its a live synth i'd worry about heat. My first stash back in high school was my pc tower. Was at the front drive bay so cooling as actually decent, but still not ideal.

Lol this reminds me of a article I read about a college sound engineer tripping balls trying to clean a "dry crusty substance" on the only red knob on the synthesizer he was repairing. :crazy2:

I used to have a friend that kept their stash inside their old NES and SNES game consoles

I think you may underestimate the amount of deterrent that provides. Thieves if given the chance will carry out any large valuables they can find easily.

When I was a kid we had our house broken into, they kicked down the door while the house was empty and they took all the electronics they could as well as $ and all the cannabis stashed. But with even a simple secured safe I'd wager they would have taken what they could and given up on the locked valuables. If you're just stashing drugs then it may not matter as much, but if you own valuables worth putting in a safe then it's worth getting a solidly secure one.

Been meaning to start looking into safes as well, even just to store paperwork and other important documents that you wouldn't want to lose.

My house is set to flood with sleeping gas and loud ass alarms go off. Non lethal....till I get home.

It would be set to explode but the laws in the US are bullshit.
