I'm a little surprised I made it past 60,
and I sometimes wonder what things would be like if
drug, alcohol and tobacco abuse hadn't been such a
big part of my life for almost 5 decades, but I'm still around
for a reason, whatever that may be.

Growing up & teen life had a lot of ups and a lot of downs, it was tough, but family, books and eventually the shroomery helped me a lot. I really wish it was different, but I've also been blessed in so many ways I'd definitely take another spin if I had the chance.

It was prety hard growing up as a kid in a dysfunctional family. Though i can't and wouldn't change a thing and still thankful, that i was still given a chance to be surrounded by my own functional & loving family.

Growing up pretty much sucked for me. I was bullied all through school, I missed 1/4-1/2 of school because I stayed home a lot to avoid it. I grew up without my father in my life, and I only saw my mom about once a month or so for a weekend and she was a drunk so those visits weren't very happy usually. I spent a lot of my life growing up wondering why my parents didn't want me. Of course now I realize I was better off being raised by my grandparents but back then it was the source for a lot of pain. I had some pretty traumatic experiences as a kid that I feel kinda fucked me up for life. I made a lot of bad decisions I wish I could undo, some of them with long lasting or even lifetime consequences.

There's no way in hell I'd opt to live this life over again. Life is hard right now but I feel like overall I'm in a better place in life currently, but if I'd made some different choices growing up, I'd be in a lot better place right now. I'm almost 34 and am only now starting to "grow up" so to speak. I feel like I'm really behind the curve, wish I would've grown up at 16-18 like everyone else.

But if I didn't live the life I did, I never would have met the woman I love and that's something I never would change. She makes everything I went through worth it.

I think what happened in my childhood/teens set off something which led me along the path I took, which at times has been great but others has been a train wreck.
If I had to do it again would I change anything? No, its put me on a path now that I hope is going to give meaning to the rest of my life.

Would I want to do it again? Fuck no!

He is but occasionally he strikes the right chord.

He milks pathos a bit waaay too much, to my taste. It feels artificial.
