I'm extremely interested in trying the San Pedro experience. I have recently ordered a 12 inch cutting and am hoping (:D) that it will be enough. But if not..oh well. Anyone had any experience with the T. pachanoi? My real question is should I dry this shit out before i eat it or just go with the "fucking bitter cucumber spear" method. I don't want to mix it with anything because I like the spirituality aspect of eating these natural plants alone. Just how I always eat mushrooms! Let me know guys! Thanks :mushroom2:

Eating the skin raw and by itself will be next to impossible. The bitterness of the cactus is so strong that it will attack every taste bud in your mouth making it hard to eat more than a few mouth fulls. The best way to prepare the stuff is to slice off the skin just below where it is dark green (the middle light green flesh has next to no mesc.) then you can either dry out the skin or leave it raw. Then cook the skin in water and blend it in a blender. You will be left with a couple big cups of cactus snot. Drink those down to get high. It's not so bitter once it is boiled down to syrup. enjoy

theres no way to tell, each one can vary greatly, you may feel nothing with 1 ft (depending on thickness of the cutting as well) or it may blow you away. I would personally start a cactus garden as they are super easy to take care of and they can grow a really fast.

I tried it once using a method from another website. It wasn't too bad tasting mixed with grapefruit juice. My trip wasn't too intense like a LSD trip. I was mellow with cool visuals and a feeling that u r not alone, communing w/ spirits. Quite different than I expected. I only drank one glassful. I had ordered 3 12" pieces for me and a friend but the friend bitched up on me. I cut off all the spiney things off of one of them and the layer that supposed to be bitter. I don't think I boiled it though. I remember putting it in a blender w/ grapefruit juice and then drinking it in big gulps.

Get a little more, so that you have enough to plant also. It would be a drag to go to all that work and drink something difficult and not have an experience. my 2 cents....

you might want to dry it out. Then drink the dried (cut out)chips with water.
I beleive it's easier than making syrup and less time consuming.

Also make sure you fast for 24 hours prior to ingestion.
Have some weed to smoke around on, and go out for a bush walk or something :thumbup:
