According to what Tantric posted it looks like some old testament type self flaggelation to prove your christianess like actually wearing a bible on your sleeve or all that bullshit the catholics pull in the name of showing off how righteous they are.  It really does slip right in with what would make it into “common mainstream” understanding, think holidays... big extravagant shit with vague accuracy or authenticity :shrug:

Anyways, to me it seems unnecessary but personally, I don’t care that I am circumsized.  I don’t think about it much so I don’t feel cheated but for my kid?  You think there’s any stories of people who got mad at their parents because they didn’t have them circumsized?  ...you could always do it later if it became an issue.  Best bet is probably holding off..
