I think these mushrooms are an edible Parasol mushroom. Can you id please?

Found in a sheep paddock NZ. Substrate Very mild fresh herbie odour. Small hollow at the top of the stem and much more hollow at the base. S





Perhaps a Macrolepiota sp.?

Ok, I should have done some research myself before I posted. The Inaturalist website shows only one Macrolepiota species has been observed in NZ Macrolepiota clelandii.

I feel rather inclined to taste one after reading that. Any comments will be appreciated.

Being The Stems Are Fading To A Pinkish Color Where they Have Been Cut Lead Me To Believe They Might Be Chlorophyllum Molybdites...Drop A Spore Print If Possible If It Comes Back A Dull Grayish Green Then I Would Indeed Toss Them!!

Hi Hakr they do look a lot like Chlorophyllum molybdites. Will do a spore print soon. Good advice. Thanks for your help. I was going to taste and spit,raw and cooked which is useful for iding too.

These Guys Are Really Poisonous...Anyone To Ingest Them Can Expect Projectile Vomiting And Pissing Out The Rear :thumbup:
