Why cant I remember?

As a kid I had these 2 friends, and I went to their house everyday.

I have TONS of memories at one of their houses, and I hung out with them about equally.

I remember my one friends name, how he looked, talked, hanging out with him, his parents, his brother, his house, the interior of it, etc.

The other one... I cant remember anything about. Literally no memories of him.

This makes me wonder... Did something happen that is causing my mind to block him out?

I lived in their neighborhood for about 3 years!

Generally, memories created before puberty are only retained if they have significant emotional content.

Wow I even remember that. Not even kidding. I know the last four digits 100%. the way I remember it is I see like 65% of the number on my early 2000's brick phone caller ID in the photographic memory of it. Also remember the first 3 or 4 digits of my parents home phone in another country from when I was <7 yold cause I remember the time I said it out loud to someone at school

I once text book blacked out drunk with Xanax and I still managed to remember everything what went down that night visually. That one took a whole week to piece back together but still got it all on mental tape

I remember how many millimeters of space roughly it took up on my screen by the picture of it in my head, but I didn't even scan my eyes over it for more than a milisecond didn't know it was a test
