She died a year ago from a condition called stomach bloat...

I miss her every day

Know the feeling.  She was a Maltese and held on to the end before the "big sleep".  Lived a long and good life.  Much better than one's dog gets hit by a car or drowns accidently.  Yes my mom and step-dad are horrible people.  But God I loved that dog.  She tried to run back to her at the vet, she would fight to the end but time is time.  Dog years suck, it's not like humans live all that long for a median age.

I know the feeling. It's tough. After the last one passed it took me 4 years before I bring myself to rescue another dog.

We've all been there :sad:

Never will forget putting down my best friend he was a cat , wasn't long ago

Stood with him for his last second  it was heart breaking , still is

It was very hard coming home to see his stuff

I still have his toys

he was born at my place we were tight

He was more like a dog

Sorry to hear about your cat buddy

I too stood by my friend till very last second :sad:

This stomach bloat BS is no good, some kind of genetic glitch , apparently all large breed dogs prone to it. We spent thousands on operations and treatments of my girl but it wasn’t enough :frown:

Come nice weather I’ll be paying tribute gong to the river with flowers where I scattered her ashes

My dog passed away 4 years ago. Not a day goes by that i don't think of her ever. She saved my life twice at least, while i was having seizures. She would bark, howl and tear at windows / doors till some one noticed. I loved her so much. she had a stroke and was never the same had to put her down when she couldn't control her rear legs. I feel your loss man.

But there's glim of hope out there, I believe dogs and cats also have a soul, which means when I get another puppy I believe she will inherit same would  inherit same soul. all u gotta do is pray to any angel of your choice and your pet will be back with you in the new incarnation

ps. when my dog dies they better make the hole big enough to fit me, or if he ever need a lethal injection they better make one up for me too...

I lost my first two pup in a 6 week span 2 years ago.  It was tough but that's life or the ending of one.

I went and got 2 new rescue dogs to replace them and that's all really you can do.
