True, ive grown it purple because i like the way it looks as well. I do think the color of the trichomes makes the biggest differences in the feel of the high. Clear trichomes = highest THC levels and amber trichomes = CBN, which is what thc breaks down into during the ripening process. Cbn couch locks and gives indica effects.. I feel like this makes a bigger difference in the high than the genetics of the plant, as long as it is a potent plant.  Its hard to find bud thats high in cbn. Most dispensaries harvest at peak thc levels because its good advertising and faster turnover.

Lol purple doesnt really mean much. The color comes from the temperature of the environment  while the bud is ripening on the plant. I can make plants turn purple by dropping the temperature. I can make plants stay green by keeping it warm.
