Are clusters from nature or nurture?
    #25885257 - 03/20/19 08:17 AM (5 years, 28 days ago)

Hello!

I'm attempting isolating some PE6 cultures from some spores that were graciously gifted by one of our very own members here!

Now, I have had a few fruits off of these coir pucks that are in clusters. What is tte likely outcome from cloning from there? Would I expect clustering in the isolate, or is it more environmental? I imagine it is a phenotype expression anyways?

I'm not even sure if this one qualifies as cluster though, I wish I woulda took another shot of the others before. They looked more picturesque and were all coming out of the same base.

It's both genetics and conditions... you can have a great culture that is a heavy fruiter and give shitty conditions and it will not perform that well... I would take the 3 best looking fruits there and clone those remember to RIP open with your fingers then cut

Cool! These are like third flush fruits. While I'm sure they work fine for cloning, would I ideally get better results from cloning the first flush before I eat them next time around?

Yeah you want to clone the first flush for sure you get more vigorous growth ... you can still clone these guys just to do it I dont see any harm in it
