Got most of my trees from the Audobon Society today! 5 American Redbud and 5 Flowering Florida Dogwood. They sent 10 random trees for $10 and I have a red maple and a sourwood coming too!

Those are all some Gorgeous trees!

American Redbud...

Florida Dogwood is another beauty....

A year or two ago I was driving through a neighborhood I'm not in often and there was a house with a big (what I'm assuming to be) American Redbud tree blooming in full glory out front...I literally stopped the car and gawked at it for a moment, it was stunning!...a vibrant color I've never seen in a blooming tree before.

I'm super excited for spinach again this year. Although my lifestyle may not allow me to see my whole garden flourish. :sun:

Nothing like picking a salad of various greens right before a meal though.

Going to get some rhubarb, sorrel, sea kale, mustard, jerusalem artichokes, and maybe some hops. I've almost got my whole garden weeded and landscaped. Should be able to finish this weekend.

The legal market for seeds in Ontario has been so ridiculous so far. Just two strains from the one legal source, and even those are not always in stock.

We must have completely different diets because I have never tried any of that stuff and some of it I have never heard of.

I killed my front lawn last year and mulched it and planted ecorative grasses everywhere. The weeds went crazy this year and I already spent over 8 hours weeding. Once the grasses get large I'm hoping the weeds won't be able to take hold.

I met a cool Shroomerite a few days ago. He gave me some good free weed and some seeds too! I asked him like 3 times what the strain was, but now I forgot, lol. I want to say it's like Silver Haze or something. I'm going to try to grow a few and see what happens.

They are mostly hardy perrenials that pack a lot of flavor

The scuffle hoe is ur bestest friend when it comes to weeding a lawn.

They arent part of my diet just yet. I have some sorrel and rhubarb going but I need mo

The deer get to them usually before I can, so I've been spending a lot of time thinking about the placement of beds and how to fence them in properly.

Looks cool, but I'm too cheap to buy that. Maybe I could take the bandsaw to my old shovel and make my own.

When I lived in OK the yard had what looked like salad goods. I could have just picked my own fresh salad out there. In MS my yard had so many wild onion/scallion/green onions in it the smell of onions permeated the air after mowing it. I think I cut some for some dish I made once. It looked exactly like grass it was so prevalent.

Ive seen deer hop 6 foot fences. One time I tried to open the gate when one was stuck in the back yard. It tried to hop the fence and got its leg skin caught on the end of the chainlink. It dangled there for a few seconds before falling and running away. Other times they've just tried to ram their way through the fence.

there are cheaper scuffle hoes. Thats just the best one. I can use it to terrace the garden just by sliding it into the ground and instantly making a grade.
