New Job * 5

It's been a long time coming, but I finally got a new job that pays fairly well and that I enjoy doing.  Thanks to everyone who gave me encouragement and support; it meant a lot to me.  This goes to show there are people on the interwebs, to include in this community, who are decent people.

I can't really say in the public forum because it is sort of a niche field.  But I can tell you I am satisfied with the work and it pays fairly well.  The point was to thank people for their encouragement.  There were many times I would vent my frustrations, as a form of catharsis, and many Shroomery members lent me their ears.  I am grateful for their kind words.

I should add that I have lucked out so far with my nominal investments.  I pulled Bitcoin and Litecoin out during their peaks of late 2017/early 2018.  I also purchased Litecoin when it bottomed at $23 late last year, and I have more than doubled my initial investment.  Of course that does not mean I cannot be wrong, as all investments are based on some degree of speculation, nor does it mean I will not continue to put fiat into cryptocurrency at a higher price.  It really is just a gamble at the end of the day.  I think Bitcoin will surpass its previous all time high within the next 2-3 years; perhaps even sooner.

I think it'll hit $100k in the next 2-3 years.  We'll just have to revisit this thread at that time to see if my prediction was accurate (or close to being accurate). 


What are your thoughts about ETC?  Is it worth hodling?

it's still all too vapid for the serious money. the serious money doesnt like it for alot of reasons but really cuz really wheres the value? the serious money likes things that are solidified for obvious reasons. there needs to be a serious economic keystone. too much money flying around especially nowadays. I mean shit we all no what the money can do. the money talks and walks. always the money. it's why we worked this out in the long long ago. same game different colour backing on the cards.

I wouldn't say it's serious money that I have in it... Just a decent amount of shares for a non-whale.  I don't know, maybe it's a defense mechanism.  I used to own a lot of Bitcoin well before the 2017 boom.  Although I held onto a few of them, I let most of them go as I didn't realize what I had in my possession---no one did before the boom.  Anyway, I thought ETC might be something worth holding, even if it's only a couple hundred coins, because of the low cost.  Not serious money, just a couple thousand dollars worth.
