Hello did you get a 3rd flush form that tub?

I must say this has been a very informative read and helped clear up LOT'S of things for me! I must thank Everyone here, this is very very help full as it gives a step by step grow with amazing instructions and very clear/understanding help.

I can get the 27q sterlite containers-You grew so many I am very impressed buddy! Keep up the good work.I can not be leave how many you got from a 27q tub-outstanding dude!

1.2g is hardly a dose, especially if they're bunk... if it's MS, you could end up with great potency in later flushes... there are literally thousands of strains in an MS culture,  i.e. literally thousands of possibilities for genetic expression, including but not limited to potency

I had this happen on my first and second-ever grow, appx. 15 years ago.  Got a spore print sent to me from the free print thread and loaded up a couple of syringes.  Did BRF to bulk on my first grow and ended up with ~20g dry.  Took them to a friend's house and split them with a few people - appx. 3g each.  None of us felt a thing - I was so disappointed (I had never tripped before).  I thought I must have done something wrong during the grow that I just didn't notice, so I decided to start from scratch and try again.

I followed the same process using another syringe made from the same spore print and ended up with ~20g dry again.  I took them to my friend's house again, and this time there were only two of us.  My friend, who had tried the first batch with me, thought that we were likely just dealing with very low potency mushrooms, and thus suggested that we eat more this time to make sure we felt something.  So, we weighed out and ate somewhere around 7 grams a piece. 

And OH. MY. GOD.  To this day, that was one of the most incredibly powerful trips I have ever had - and I have definitely had my fair share.  My friend called his mom within 45 minutes of ingestion and was picked up and taken home, leaving me alone in a room (while the friend whose house it was hosted a party outside) for the duration of my trip.  It was a total disassociation from any reality whatsoever.  I consider it one of my major life events.

Anyway, sorry to hijack the thread - I've just always wondered what could have caused the huge discrepancy in potency from the same spore print.  Now I know!  :smile:

Nah it was dry, I used a coffee grinder to grind up all my shrooms and turned them into .4g capsules. Wasn't able to weight them before I closed them up so they're .4g. I had her take 3 of those as she has usually took 1g and had a nice relaxing trip. I like to trip being fully aware of my surroundings and trip around people who definitely dont know I am. So we like to do a light trip. I had her take 3 of those and she took them around 3pm then took a nap until 7 and she started tripping. I believe she must have started tripping in her sleep since she was definitely coming down from it. So I must have just fucked my dosage up when I tried them. I got cellulose capsules for vitamins so I'm thinking they just take forever to digest and then even longer for your stomach to start doing its thing with them. We've usually took around 1g-1.5g and had nice trips.

Yes a small pin set is starting to form, I had let a 1/2 cup of water soak down the corner which kinda got over the surface so I'm hoping I have no contams from that. But there are a few nice healthy pins forming and I've tried my best to harvest all the aborts. I'll post a picture on here later when I get the chance. And yes I'm really surprised on how many fruits I got, I'm growing for a personal supply and didn't really expect this much but it's awesome. I'm turning all them into capsules for easy inconspicuous storage as well as having them pre measured which is great. I hope you have as much luck as I did!

Well I later figured out that night that she did trip which is awesome. I gave her pills from the first batch I made which is from what I tried too. So she was kinda my guinea pig for this and she did end up tripping. She took them around 3pm and felt nothing so then took a nap until 7pm and she said she was tripping when she came out of her nap. She said she literally didn't dream anything but complete blackness so I'm assuming she started to trip during her nap as the capsules took forever to digest and then for the stomach to do its thing. I'm going to try a lemon tek with around 2g at some point I'll let you know how that turns out. Really hoping I had just fucked my dosage up before and the capsules took forever to digest. They were vegan cullulose caps for vitamins so maybe they were just hard to digest idk..

So here's an update on how the tub is looking during it's third flush. Not that many fruits but the monster makes up for it :smile: I have a ton of aborts which sucks and it seems like leaving the stems didn't really do much. Might just pick them next time instead and see the difference. What do you guys do, pick or snip them?

I also tried cloning two mushrooms from my first flush and that turned out terribly, every single agar tray contaminated... Hoping these new agar trays I got make the difference. Planning on cloning the fuck out of that massive fruit hopefully it's got nice potency.

It's pretty typical for tissue plates to contaminate,  especially with samples much larger than 1/2 grain of rice IME... I run the excess moisture in one direction by tilting the dish, which provides an easy vector for bacteria to follow, and wait for recovering mycelium to outgrow the contamination on the opposite side... we use agar to clean a culture,  throwing away a dish because it's contaminated without transfering from it first, is counterintuitive ... are you using a SAB yet?

Yes I'm using a SAB and I've been as clean as possible and my vents have been closed and the air has been turned off. The plates that I had that were contaminated were contaminated all over all around the edges and on the tissue. I'm going to try and do spore prints and use those to agar next time. I've been keeping my agar in the fridge and yeah a ton of water has been accumulating on them, not really sure how I can prevent that. I read somewhere about flipping them upside down so the water just goes on the top instead so that's what I have them at right now while I wait for this monster to finish.

Sounds like excess moisture running all over the plate... I'd have held out to see if I could get anything... could even transfer a bit of aerial mycelium without any agar

I keep plates at room temp for upwards of a month before use without issue... the temp swings from the fridge are causing condensation/development of running moisture

So I should just store my agar in room temperature to avoid all this water accumulating? I'm new to agar so I just chucked them didn't think with all that bacteria that I'd be able to get anything as it engulfed the tissue.

I do... I've seen others do it... only time I would fridge a plate is if I've got a culture I want to save for 1-3 months... otherwise, room temp storage in ambient room light is sufficient IME

Agar makes it much easier to get away from contamination, as everything is on a 2d surface and easily viewed... we take small transfers to obtain a clean culture in less transfers... it really only takes a microscopic bit of culture to inoculate a new plate, and many poke plates with a syringe to transfer from troublesome cultures

Here's what the tub looks like and what I harvested today. I cloned the massive one to agar so hopefully that turns out good. These fruits are like my first flush as they are thicker than what I got from my second flush.

Little update on the shroom capsules I made. Let my tolerance die down and I took 6 yesterday (2.4g). And boy did I trip :smile: I put the powder in a chocolate pudding and downed that shit which was pretty nasty as it was a really weird consistency but about 45 minutes later I was tripping balls seeing faces start to warp and shit.

On the other note I have finished harvesting all the rest of the mushrooms and tried to get as many aborts as I could as possible as there is nothing blocking them now. I've poured a 500ml bottle down the side of the tub and am going to let that soak for around an hour and a half.

21.6g from the 3rd flush so far, got a couple more mushrooms drying in the dehydrator now probably about 5g in there.
