Citibank Memo RE: Brazillian Investments and Bolsonaro

This is a memo written by Jorge Amato who is head of the Latin American Investment Strategy for Citigroup. In the memo he says that the bank intends to expand its investment in the country because Strongman Politics are good for their bottom line. Bolsonaro was inaugurated on the 1st of January. I recommend doing business with your local credit union.

He never says strongman politics are good for their bottom line. The strongest statement he makes is that "As we have learnt elsewhere, strongman leaders are not incompatible with robust returns."

It sounds more like he is reassuring investors that, despite the fact that Bolsonaro is a strongman, his economic policies are beneficial.
