should I become a cashier

To upgrade my fast hands with money so I can be better at STUFF

Only hope can give rise to the emotion we call despair. But it is nearly impossible for a man to try to live without hope, so I guess that leaves Man no choice but to walk around with despair as his companion.

Actually I welcome that. I for one welcome our new robot overlords. First will come the group of cluster bots who's purpose is to repair each other AND other bots in manufacture THEN and only then will we experience the relief of burden that comes from people being able to focus on creation instead of labor.

I Don't actually need the money that bad my end game is to be an awesome dad with a kick ass side hustle. I've started to realize how cool the whole family thing can be now that we have a little one

As long as the bots mine the fields and synth my drugs while I shitpost I'm cool with that. In fact I feel that when we get to that point currency will either change conceptually or it will be obsolite. People need to be driven by passion and passion alone IMO

Depending on what kind.

Convenient store cashier is a lot better than a fast food cashier position.

I actually got hired yesterday for a Cashier position for $13/hr in Golden.

Check out this review an ex employ just left:

I began working here June 27, 2018. Within the first week I noticed the manager stealing gas by pre setting a pump and cashing it out without paying. This was my first clue to the kind of business this is. Within my first three weeks the manager no call, no showed twice. Once to the assistant manager, and once to me. The manager is horrible at being timely with paperwork and scheduling. I say "is" because he is still the current manager. One night the manager walked out the front door with an expensive ice chest without paying for it. He was clearly on camera and even boasted about nobody doing a thing about him stealing. The manager tried to no call, no show on me again when I called the district manager. The district manager didn't discipline the store manager in any way, shape, or form. So at this point this is three no calls in two months. No discipline. The manager proceeded to apologize to me for his shoddy performance. Nothing changed. The manager would go back into the storage area with his girlfriend or other random non employees and smoke meth. I've been around meth heads enough to know when someone is tripping on it. To confirm my suspicion, about a week before I quit, I walked into the storage area, which is a closed down coffee shop, to find the managers nasty girlfriend breaking up, and smoking meth. When I walked in on her I let her know that the door to the storage was wide open to which her response was, "Mark said he'd be right back." Mark is the manager and this was the last straw for me. By the way, his nasty girlfriend has two children. This makes me livid. Again, I called the district manager and let him know what was going on. I even showed him the razor they were using to break up the meth, which still had powder all over the blade. The area where they were breaking this up was still covered in white powder. The district manager pretended to be concerned and even talked to the assistant manager and told us both to be prepared for a change in management. So Monday rolls around and Larry, the district manager, pulls Mark, the store manager aside to deal with the issue. Well Larry's idea of dealing with Mark was about a five to ten minute conversation with Mark where Larry straight up asked Mark if he was using drugs at work. Guess what Mark's reply was? Nope. And Larry considered the matter over. I asked Larry why on earth he wouldn't drug test Mark, or even the whole four employee store for that matter. His response to me was that it is illegal for him to drug test. He wouldn't even watch video to verify anything I had told him. Needless to say, I've never worked under such scum as I did at the store. Mark is a lying, thieving, meth head. Larry is a lying coward. Both are pathetic men. I stopped working here September 13, 2018. Please boycott these idiots.

This ought to be interesting...

Lol that guy cared so much about his company it’s touching.  If the people paying you want to bleed money and ignore it idk why the guy would keep complaining and nothing gets done about it it makes no sense.  Have fun working there. I would just mind my business if they pay on time which it sounded like this “ex employee” had a tough time with.

I had my ID stolen and a bulldog of a bitch assault me and lock the door with MY ONLY MISSOURI DRIVERS LICENSE INSIDE after she had the gall to threaten ME with a stun gun and then... then she flipped me off and said "call Bub" to the other young lady working (yes, two young women working at a sketchy station in the middle of the night).

A gray 90s car rolled up about 5 minutes later when I was crossing the bridge. It didn't leave till I did and it drove past me even though I lifted my jacket to reveal my CCW.

Why would you handle someone elses money if it's probably going to the mob? Not even rhetorical but dude... make smarter decisions than me, please. That was me as a CUSTOMER....

Passion develops from that which is painful and difficult, not that which is handed to you and easy to come by. You can't have passion for something without a sense of struggle or a possibility for loss. The very word itself derives from the latin word pati, and it's meaning is suffering and hardship.

Careful you get tried by an undercover store associate trying to get you fired for fucking up on your money handling at the register. Good luck. They caught the bitch with me when I first started as a cashier. Told them it wasn't me, but they didn't listen until they got the proof.

Personally, I would rather be as far removed from customers as possible, even if it means sacrificing a little cash.

Customers are fucking hard work.

Get a CSR position, smoke weed, then not give a fuck when the custom gets made when they don't know how to use a gas pump.
