I have a mouse friend what to do ? * 1

One of the cats I am with brought me a mouse

I have him safe no injury in a shoe box with holes and a bit of water he is scared the mouse was screaming he is small never heard a mouse do that

What should I do with him ?

I am going to give him some peanut butter and I might have some too with dates maybe he would like some dates with his peanut butter just like me : )

Dont think I can keep him he can go free somewhere ?

I won't do anything bad to him

I had like 20 mice at one point, caught them all in a humane fashion and released them in a nearby woodland area.

I hope they were okay.

That is what i'd recommend unless someone has a better idea.

Wish I found mice adorable. Their little faces just creep me the fuck out. I could never keep one as a pet. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if a mouse was roaming in my house. God I sound like such a pussy.

My mom freaks seeing mice.

I used tonfeel bad about trapping them, their death.  Now I don't.  If they get in food it's ruined.  Anyhow predators are bad outside.  There's an owl around here.  But I see mice sometimes.

I find many rodents to be very awesome but I absolutely hate them city rats and mice... they ruined too many oyster cultivation attempts for me, If I were a rat I guess I would love eating myceliated spawn..

Such an unstoppable vermin you can never get rid of them for long

Mice are the primary vector for Lyme carrying ticks. If you are in an endemic area, you should release it far from your home.

Or just flush it down your toilet and put out traps (baited with peanut butter), since there are probably more.

Mice are cute, but (in all seriousness) you might end up damaging your health trying to make nice with them.  If you want a pet rodent then go get a rat from a rat breeder.

well since you have cats the problem should solve itslf....if your cats cant keep up I would get rid of them too as they have failed you. Hopefully it doesnt come to this but you may have to just let it go and nuke the property safely from high orbit just to be sure.
