I’m not sure if it’s right place but is it possible for me to take hdd from old windows pc and connect it externally to my chromebook?

Yes, you can get a case for the internal drive that makes it function like an external drive. Search amazon.  I'll do it for you - https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=SATA+HDD%2FSSD+Case

Thats what i needed. I was thinking of Macbooks.

Chromebook, Macbook - I can understand the confusion

Technically you could probably run MacOS on a Chromebook if you really tried. It would be akin to taking a wheelchair and replace the wheels with a pair of wooden ones.

But... it would still work and will look pretty damn stylish.

If it would work, or rather how well it would work, is questionable.
Stylish, sure. But personally I care more for if it does what it needs to do than what it looks like. In the end, it's just a silly little box that we need in order to do our stuff.

It looks like NTFS formatted hard drives (like Windows typically uses) are supposed to work fine on Chromebooks. https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/183093?hl=en

Some other file systems will only mount read-only (which might not matter for what you're doing anyway), but it doesn't seem to be an issue for NTFS.

I do appreciate all the suggestions. I’ll let you guys know which way I jump and if it works.

On a side note, my next project on the list will be adding wooden wheels to a wheel chair.

In my defense, Macbooks are chrome colored. Silly mistake on my part. Ive honestly never seen a chromebook before.

As long as you make sure they have a chrome finish, it'll look good!

My current laptop is a cheap Mac knockoff running Windows 10. SSD is only 32 GB though. But it's pretty thin and light and has a FHD screen.

For most of the normies out there, an operating system is just a bootloader for Google Chrome.

And I don't know what the mantis is praying for
But he's probably just thanking the Lord
That he don't live in a home
And he don't got a phone
And he don't sit around all angry and bored
(He's just a bug)
