Fatal frame, gave me sleep paralysis once.

Vandal hearts, turn-based rpg made my square in 96. Better than FF imo.

Morrowind is an obvious that needs to be mentioned.

Life is Strange is the most fun if had with a game in ages.
It’s a story driven choices matter game where your actions have long lasting repercussions,
But the story is just so rich so far I immediately got sucked into the narrative and it’s constantly making me wonder what’s next.
It’s kinda kind heavy rain but better.

I highly recommend both Inside and Limbo(both from same developer).  I played them on ps4 but not sure if its cross platform.

Very bizarre side scrolling platformer puzzle type of game.  It will have you hooked.  They both are very cool games.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I try a lot of games but get bored of 99% of them within an hour or so. Not these ones. The story line of the first one and then the prequel "before the storm" is so fuckin good that I'll rant about it to anyone who will listen. I've only played an hour or so of the new one. It's good so far but I'm not really connecting with the characters like the last two games. Probably gonna wait till all the episodes come out and then binge through it all in a weekend.

Definetly one of the best game franchises to ever come out imho

Limbo is amazing.  I can vouch for that one.


The Stanley Parable is another amazing obscure indie thing that happened.  Short and hilarious with a lot of different "endings"

Start as an obscure fish thing and work your way up with evolution choices to make a bizarre critter.

Datura

It’s a PS3 game about a datura trip. It’s a short game without much depth but cmon, what’s crazier  than the infamous datura? Gotta play it.

way way better than pokemon. implemented creature breeding way before pokemon did, first game to implemented battle involving up to 3 monsters at a time. the monsters themselves are way cooler, not all cutesy. has a built in feature towards the end of the game that randomly generates new maps and creature distributions so you basically never run out of gameplay. you also don't "catch" the monsters, you woo them into liking you by feeding them, and they can grow temperamental and ignore you during battle if you don't treat them well. overall much more sophisticated gameplay

Time splitters 2 for ps2 is an often forgotten pioneer in 6 v 6 fps online gameplay. I love that game as much as little kids like Call of Duty now. That being said I did love the original Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare to about black ops and maybe ww2.

I played one game in that series, "Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2" for DS. Stupid name but it was pretty good. I don't know how you would work out the more complicated breeding recipes just playing the game though, I had to look them up.

My pick is "Demon's Crest" on SNES. Killer artwork and boss fights.
