I see faces in those dishes the top one has a guy with a mustache. The bottom a reptilian face.

Ok now, what I wanted to tell you. You have to stretch the parafilm it will stretch to 3 times its length that will make it much easier for you to seal your plates. Once you stretch it. It will stick to the dish. what I do is stretch a little piece hold it with my thumb against the petri dish stretch place on the dish move my thumb stretch place on the dish until I am all the way around the dish in one continuous piece of parafilm.

Thank you so much I didn’t know that I will use this technique in a few days when I make more dishes. Also what do you think of the mycelium growing? Is it growing slow or right on track? Going on nine days  temps have been 24-28 Celsius . I am a little lost why it hasn’t really started spreading out and thicking up.  It’s looked like that for 3 days. Any info or recommendations is appropriated.

Dude, one thing you're going to have to learn for growing mushrooms is having patience. There is a whole bunch of waiting to be done.

One way to overcome sitting about waiting is to get more stuff otg. Before you know it, you'll have every stage of cultivation going at the same time in constant rotation.

So it’s been about five days since I posted my agar plats I don’t think much has changed. Any advice on if I should transfer either of these two?

So no one gave me any info you guys said wait 4 or 5 days and repost pics and you would help me figure out what to do next ? I just got my flow hood set up too I’ll add a picture in a moment.

I made 2 more golden teachers, 3 PE6, 4 Mazatapec, 3 b+, 4 treasure coast, and 3 Brazilians. I hope these grow faster then the last ones. This time I scraped the prints and tossed it on the agar for most of them. Hopefully someone give me some tips soon lol

What tips are you looking for? People aren't going to start pouring in offering random advice. If you got any questions, type them down.

Considering the agar plates: they don't look too good. You mentioned you used premade agar, are you sure you got the ratios right? It almost appears as though the agar is too rich or too lean in nutrients, causing them to grow so slowly.

Thanks sad turkey this is the advice I seeker something about these plates. should Itry to transfer them to grain? Or should I make my own plates today? I have some pre made pda i can make and 20 empty glass Petri dishes. Can you give me a recommendation on water to premade pda agar ratio? Thanks I want to get a lot done today.

Follow the instructions on the PDA agar if it is premade there should be instructions on the container. If you don't have the instructions for some reason. I would try 3.5 tables spoons per 1/2 liter. Make new petri's and start over.

Thanks for the response I will try this now . One more question should I pour the Petri dishes before I pc them or should I pour the Petri dishes after I pc them?

I made a bunch of spore to agar only the single plates are from two weeks ago and I don’t know what todo with them? Are the contaminated?

That's a lot of spores you're using there dude, you literally only need a pin head of spores to germinate. Take a sterile swab or cotton bud, rub your print lightly and streak it across the plate, that'll give you plenty to start germination with limited contams.

I used much less on the last two plates so this time I upped it alot to make sure something grows. What can I do with Rhodes first Golden Teachers now?
