Cool place to chill (pics included)

I happen to be lucky enough to live near this nature conservation in South Carolina called 40 acre rock.  It seems that lots of people, even that live in different places in SC have never heard of it, yet it's such an awesome place.  I think my next time with old man mescalito i'll spend the day there and just enjoy everything there.  :wink:  And on to the pictures!

When you drive up to this place and park, you have to walk about a mile or so before you get to the main area, it's just a dirt road winding around.  This is the first view you see at the end of the dirt road.



Here we have a close up of one of those puddle things after the rain, not sure what these red flower/plants are growing in it but they look beautiful.



Lots of grafiti out here sadly, but I figured I would get this shot of a rock with some pretty old painting on it, I think the oldest one I've found was from 1974 or so.



After walking down some of the trails there's a cave where water falls over the edge from the creek above it. 



When you climb up around the side of the part above you have this view of the creek thing...



There's more pictures but my upload limit's reached currently, and more awesome spots that I hadn't gotten a chance to take photo's of because I had been there about 5 hours just getting these and I was wicked tired.  :tongue:

Do you know where lancaster/kershaw county is? Where I live is about..an hour from charlotte, and also an hour from Columbia. This place is 10 minutes or so from my house.

fuckin awsome places man, I would definately like to chill out there

here?s where me and my friends used to smoke and trip out in high school and beyond..... called the bunkers, they?re big concrete military installations left over from WW2. They?re in a state park but nobody ever goes to the ones that are deep in the forest, so it?s totally secluded and safe. Anyway, here?s a pic...



Also they stretch underground with long hallways and underground rooms and shit (but no lights) so it was fun to just chill in there.

that there is some cool shit man! in wisconsin theres no parks like that..the only parks that are worth checkin out are in the middle of no where so you gotta drive outta the burbs just to get to a decent place..and even after that there are still cpos around..they just kinda ruin the mood w/ or w/out drugs there presence just makes it sketch

I call it Bald Rock im going up there saturday, me and friends use to bring all the fixings for a gravity bong and sit up there all day.

And this is some woods before you get anywhere near the rock, on the way back I got super lost and ended up walked three miles down the road to find my car.  :thumbdown:

place is pretty vool.. we have some similar... miles of exposed granite scattered tith trees....

the farmed trees look creepy
