I started listening to hendrix a while ago and I must say my favorite songs would be the more calm and relaxed ones, such as
Castles Made of Sand The Wind Cries Mary Bold as love (like the jam session mainly)
I only have the Experiance Hendrix CD, so could anyone provide the names of other screne songs by him?

Definitely check out "One Rainy Wish" , also try "Angel" and "Little Wing". You'll be glad you did.

1983..(I Merman I Shall Turn to Be)=ultimate chilled out tripping song
Check out Electric Ladyland..that seems to be the Hendrix album with a lot of good chilled out songs.
There is some good chill stuff on South Saturn Delta and First Rays of the New Rising Sun.These aren't albums per say, just previously unreleased stuff he was working on when he died that came out a few years ago.

Another excelllent Hendrix song to be wowed by is Machine Gun, it is amazing, even it if it is not as mellow as some of his others. The live version is extended and he really gets time to elaborate and improvise on an already awesome tune.

well, I've been listening to Hendrix for a long time, and I must say I've found that I definitly lean toward Electric Ladyland as my favorite album. Try Voodoo Chile or House burning down, both of those are really awesome!
