Thank Obama's regulations for some of that.

Too expensive to run a factory in America? Dodge labor rules and regulations in Chinese or Bangladeshi sweatshops.

Who pushes high regulations and insane taxes? Obama and people like Bernie would.

As long as America is clean and seemingly "safe" from Global warming, we can just pay slaves to manufacture overseas.

That's what the Democrats have done to this world and they don't care or acknowledge it.

When you say “if we raise standards of living for workers, capitalists will look elsewhere” you’re tacitly admitting the predatory and exploitative nature of capitalism. You have two solutions if you accept that problem as unavoidable: you can either lower US standard of living to that of the third world, or you can remove corporations’ ability to do so.

You know what kind of industries wouldn’t send American workers’ jobs to Bangladesh? Ones owned by American workers.

Stop assuming that workers groveling to the ruling class is inherent. It isn’t.

No I didn’t. You’re blaming Obama for globalization. It existed long before, and continues to exist after, him.

Does he deserve a share of the blame? Of course. But you’re implying that if it wasn’t for Obama we’d be fine. That’s way wrong.

With that said, is it nice to sit in a biosphere or clean streams while we push low wages, long hours, and pollution on poor countries? That is okay?

We could cut every regulation and it still doesn't make economic sense to manufacture many products in the US, it's about the WAGES.

I understand that fact, but even if we took those all away it still makes economic sense to use third world slave labor in another country.

Only if the resources were already there.

If Foxconn has the same resources in the US that they do in China, and everything else was the same, they’d produce iPhones here, and save themselves the shipping costs.


Perhaps you’re right though. Maybe being removed from the production process makes the deal seem more acceptable. Maybe some US workers see Made In China and think “sweet we have other people making our toys” instead of “Apple is offshoring our jobs.”

This has been a scam since day one, there's never going to be any reduction in the trade deficit, that would cost the wealthy too much money.

Trump is full of shit and his supporters are too stupid to figure it out.

BTW, why doesn't CNN and the Dem's call him out for this BS?  They're all in on it obviously, call Trump "racist" and call it a day.

I was just watching this when I saw the thread. I listen to most of Shapiros show because he is the best voice for conservative ideas I disagree with. I still disagree with some of his daily material. However It's VITAL to listen to the other side right now and most times they're fear mongers much like Carlson and Hannity. Ben is the only sane conservative voice I've seen except on Abortions and Gay rights but his other arguments are worth listening to because he's at least honest. He has RIPPED Trump many times while Bens base in the comments continuous called him a leftist shill that sold out because he dare speak against Trump so strongly.

That being said yes I really enjoyed seeing Ben be able to get him to answer honestly and get him to see how ridiculous some of the things he takes a part in are and pick at him like you said.
