Habitat:
Found on a pile of wood chips in, you guessed it, a city park on the east side

Gills:
brownish, attached

Stem:
thinnish, white, long

Cap:
Caramel colored, wavy, far more pliable than any other lbm i've found so

Spore print color:
taking a print right now, feel like maybe i don't even need to though

Bruising:
i will take blue for 1000, alex. like.. really really blue.

Other information:
okay so i guess these are cyans. i definitely am not going to be eating all of these right now, so i'll be drying them but what should i do first? do i wash them off? soak them? i would like to help spread these little guys around the world, so if i can collect the spores and drop em in some good seeming places in my neighborhood i would do that for sure.

also i am aware this could have been someone else's patch and if so i just want to note that i left more than i took and didn't touch a single baby. also there were some rotten ones in there, so get on it more often!

Those are cyans all right, congrats!

Generally speaking, don't soak mushrooms. Just brush the crap off of them or wipe them down with a damp paper towel if necessary.

To spread the love around, spore print them all overnight for a nice, dark print. You can cut up the spore printed paper and sprinkle it around like confetti, or mix the spores in water and spray it from a squirt bottle. You can also cut off the stem butts and toss those into wood chips.

To store them, best thing to do is put them in a food dehydrator until they are cracker dry (they should snap or crumble easily when bent, with no flexing). Then put them in a sealed mason jar with a desiccant packet. They'll stay good like that for years. If you don't have a dehydrator, you can air dry them in front of a fan but I've never gotten good results that way. A dehydrator is like 30 bucks, and if you're going to do this more than once it's worth it.

Put them in front of a fan (Computer fan always worked for me) and then when dry after a few days place in container with silica gel packet. Should last at least a year if not more.

You can cut stem butts and place damp woodchips in a container and into that the stem butts. One of those may give you a full bucket of Mycelium a year later, which you can break up into parts and toss around

im gonna assume he ment the east side in washington state. not eastern washington but what us western WA call the east side i.e. bellevue sammamish issaquah kirkland

one thing I like to do too is put a whole bunch of mature mushrooms in a few 5 gallon buckets full of luke warm sugar water for a few hours , you can make 10-15 gallons of culture to spread in 24 hours... and then pour that stuff all over good environments

no, there is no tech write up, but the warm sugar water causes the mushrooms to profusely produce spores and they germinate immediately, you just need to use it very quickly because it will contaminate since your not using sterile practices

Clean the dirt off - do nit wash. Spread on paper ir cardboard in front of a fan. In a day ir two they will be cracker dry. You cam also comsume fresh by making tea - fresh is stronger. To make tea, put mushrooms in water and steep on low on the stove for half hr or so - about 4 -5 adult mushrooms per dose. I like to add honey and cinnamon fir taste. Any not going to be consumed in the next couple days should go in frint of fan to begin drying. That spit should do tinue producing throughout the season and perhaps in future seasons - just pick the adults and leave babues and do your best not to tramole ir unnecessarily disturb substrate. And get out and find as many more patches as you can. Congratulations! Now you've got yoyr foot in the door and it gets easier from here.

thanks! I have to say that after your first find, it becomes way less intimidating.. they really do look like the pictures so fellow noobs: just keep reading everything.
I went back to the spot today and it's still producing but I didn't take much. the spot is very very public and it is looking kind of trampled. hopefully it doesn't get too ruined
