Huautla strain slower?

sup guys, my friend just recently grew some cambodians, took the cakes nine days to pin.  my friend is now growing hutautla and the cakes are on their 15th day and still zero pinning, with no signs of it happening any time soon.  is hut just slower?  or is there something he should be doing.  the growing conditions are light 8-10 hrs day, perlite on bottom, bubbler, cakes resting on tin foil.  72d-78d.  cambo cakes are in the chamber as well finishing their flushes with no problems..... :frown:

High,
My experiance with huautla (just 1 cake) is that it is slower then some other strains. I did not give the cake a coldshock. It seemed that it post-colonised the cake some longer then expected. When the cake was totally covered with a nice layer of mycelium fruits finally appeared :smile:
I have to admit that growing conditions were a little poor....

Primordia formation begins on all of my huautla casings within 6 days! :shocked:
It's the quickest of any strain I've grown. I don't coldshock or anything like that either. For primordia formation my temp is at a constant 74 and there is no temperature fluctuations whatsoever. That might be a factor for this strain.

Took my 1lb rye bags almost 30 days to colonize. 10 days to fully colonize mono tub. 3 weeks til i started seeing pins. 2 weeks since pins started first one i picked rest are staying. Fruited at 67 degrees. If thats slow. Lol

I know but the info is always good to know it's hard to find info on the Strain. Huautla's keeping it alive my friend
