OP just because this guy is a lifelong Republican with a van covered in Trump/GOP insignia, and tried to bomb all the people Trump regularly denounces doesn’t prove this has anything to do with Trump, or the surge in right wing violence that followed Trump’s rhetoric.

So you put up a side by side to vaguely point out that you find some minor similarities between trump and Goebbels? You felt that was important enough to don it under every post you make?

Nazi comparisons are and always will be silly, uncalled for, insulting, naïve, and exploitative of tragedy for personal political clout. It will nevevr hold any weight, and forever be notorious for being the worst arguing tool in the textbook of persuasion. Godwin's Law will continue to pop-up in internet arguments, but always remember that it is laughable in almost every case, especially the cliché Trump-Nazi comparisons that seem to be popping up left and right from college kids and uneducated adults.

Think about your actions, think about your words, think about what you attempt to represent, how you represent it, and think about what it means to have those beliefs. If you want to compare proportionally minor political figures with middling controversies, to arguably the most evil a nd ruthless regime in human history, maybe just keep it to yourself.

It is pretty hysterical watching the right meltdown over this.


I said it two days ago when the first packages were discovered. We’ll see a progression of 3 major talking points in regards to this right wing terrorism:

1. The bombs were fake, a false flag attack to make GOP look bad before midterms.
2. The bombs were real but actually done by a Dem/Bernie supporter.
3. The bombs were real and done by a right winger but the Dems are still more violent.


We’re at stage 3. That’s why we have people like XUL and qman stammering on about antifa and BLM.

the media labeled them as bombs and that's what they are.  if every one of them turns out to not be viable, that doesn't make the initial reporting any less factual.

if he did it--perhaps even if he didn't as the justice system convicts innocent people every day--he'll be convicted and spend a lot of years behind bars.  why do you think otherwise?
