I wouldn't risk hearing loss. I would just go to the doctor to be safe.

As others have said, you really shouldn't be sticking shit into your ears.  Warm water is ok but never under pressure, i.e. don't use a bulb to shoot it in.  Peroxide is just asking for trouble.


Oh, yes the pressure difference is supposed to create a very slight vacuum. Which in turn sucks all the negative vibes away. But no earwax. This practice sounds like it started in Victorian Era England. Some hippies read Where There Is No Doctor: A Village Health Care Handbook by David Werner, sometime in the 70's and nowadays are still clinging to their last grasp of reality.

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it!

When I used to be at the beach just about every day, earwax would build up inside my ear in front of the drum fairly quickly About every 6-12 months, I'd have to go to my doctor and they would shoot a pressurized sterile salt water solution into my ear, and it would would break up the earwax allowing it come out in fingernail sized chunks. It's pretty damn gross.

Before then, I successfully unclogged my ear a couple times at home using the little Debrox kits with the bulb. But it would work just enough to be able to hear and not lose my balance. A week or two later each time, I'd have to go to the doctor anyways.

Point is, don't fuck around with your ears, OP. Don't fuck around with q-tips unless you're only using them to clean the very outside of your ear, and go to a doctor before you perforate your ear drum or something else stupid along those lines.

No, it won't. It'll just get worse.
Especially if you keep putting shit in it.
Last time this happened to me, I waited a week to get it unclogged and a few days in started losing my balance and getting super dizzy due to my inner ear being affected.

You can go to any ear specialist in your area, and get it taken care of professionally for $40-$60 without health insurance.
I live in one of the remotest places in the country and was still able to find a decent ear specialist within 30 miles.

Be responsible.

it might get better on its own after alot of weeks of pain and u could lose ur hearing or even die.

I used a mixture of half peroxide and half rubbing alcohol when I swam in high school for ear infections. The rubbing alcohol dries the ears of water and kills infections

I'm sure the people selling the peroxide would rather you not realize it can be fatal, and that it actually increases wound healing time by rupturing cells.

Do you think i should go to the doctor?

I have also been sick for like 2 weeks which isn't really normal for me.

Do i need to go to an ear specialist for this sort of thing or will my shitty free clinic doctor suffice?

Stop posting misinformation.  That is a ridiculous statement and it's never done that to me or anyone else. Hydrogen peroxide does in fact kill people sometimes when put in their ears.

If you really are concerned, use a small amount of glycerin so it's less likely to dry your ears out too much. I never had that issue though.

I tried the free clinic once for this issue.
They use the same debrox kits you can buy at walmart for $5.
When I went, the girl made my ear canal bleed and then told me I'd have to go see a specialist.

Don't waste your time. Pay that 40 or so dollars and see a specialist.

I wanted to see a doctor about being sick for 2 weeks too though :/

But i dont really trust them to fuck with my ear

A regular doctor should be able to take care of it the same way as an ear specialist.
I just didn't recommend that because it's usually more expensive.

But when I had health insurance, I would go to my PCP and he would get the wax out of my ear with absolutely no pain. Would take maybe 5 minutes total. The feeling afterwards is so good!

May as well go kill 2 birds with one stone since you're sick as well.
