We would have a difficult time confronting Iran and North Korea as well, even one on one. Such territories have the military infrastructure in place to effectively ward off any invasion regardless of technologies in place, and to definitely make occupation a pipe dream. Confronting them would require a world war scale effort, of which neither us nor them have prepared to commit to.

Russia turned it's war machine on after being invaded during WW2. It wasn't equipped or prepared for the conflict prior. When a nation is resource rich, military minded and has a relatively homogenous culture (in contrast to the cultures of Iraq or Afghanistan for example), the ability to mobilize against a threat even when not completely prepared to before hand should not be underestimated.

Likewise, we would be able to ward off any invasion ourselves for the same reasons.

america spends sevral hundred billion dollars more on millitary than russia annually. russia spends less than 100 billion. usa spends over 600 billion. the usa has the most powerful millitary in history. russia certainly has more millitary power than the majority of other countries on the planet and its up there on the list definately. but the usa has tge strongest millitary.

Russia don't need to spend any money on military might in fact they can throw it away and no country will attack them.
Reason? Because they sit with the Dooms day hand. A massive sistem where if they are attack thousands of nuclear bombs are send everywhere even alles and neutral countries.

So ye America may have a stronger military but there to shit scared to fight someone who is willing to blow op the world along with them self.

The cost between small homes is rising and large homes shrinking. But a small home (1000-1200 sw ft) now and I can almost guarantee substantial  appreciation. I think the days of the bubble are gone and the days of practical consumerism are upon us.
