Jane's Addiction

When I was in the 7th grade I got Kettle Whistle because of the song "Jane Says" which was on mtv at the time. I had since lost the cd and forgot about it. I downloaded it the other day and I finally get it! It is a great cd and I am definitely going to buy it again. It is mellow happy music that is perfect for fueling my Sunday posting needs.


If anyone wants to hear it you can download it from "CaptNugz" on soulseek. Look in the "rock" folder under Jane's Addiction.

Such happy, upbeat music that can't help but make you feel good.  They have hand drums, bells, horns, and all kinds of instruments going on.  I love it!

I love jane's addiction.

You know why they were named Jane's addiction? because there was a chick named jane who loved them so much she prostituted to make money to help them buy amps, demo recordings, etc. since a lot of prostituting to get money to support addictions they called themselves jane's addiction.

they were at an edgefest a few years ago and the dj asked them on air.

Check out their first, self-titled album...it rocks pretty hard. Nothing's Shocking and Ritual are also very good albums...all their stuff is worth owning/downloading if possible. I was fortunate enough to see Stephen Perkins and Perry together as Porno for Pyros, but hope to be able to see Jane's some day.

Janes Addiction is a great band. Didn't really stat listening to em untill last fall.

I first saw and heard Jane's Addiction when they opened for Love and Rockets (1987, I think) on the Earth*Sun*Moon tour.
Unfortunately, they didn't seem to make a good impression at the time, but it gives me a warm wiggly feeling inside knowing I knew them way back when.

I've seen Janes Addiction twice in concert in 1990-91.  Some of the best concert experiences I have had.  IMHO one of the best bands in the late 80's early 90s.  Great concerts, great songwriting and CDS.  They are really a band for the experienced mind. 
I rememember standing outside trying to get tickets and when I finally got hooked up, having one of the best nights of my life. 
Listen carefully and In think you will be surprised at how much deeper they are than "Jane says" (Although that is a kick ass song)

Yeah - I got the cd because of "jane says" when I was 12. Now I have all their cds and it just gets better and better.
