Help legalize Marijuana in NJ

"Governor Phil Murphy has promised to legalize cannabis in NJ, but he has been unable to act on that promise because state lawmakers have not voted on or even discussed any of the three marijuana legalization bills which have been introduced.According to several sources there is a possibility that state lawmakers could discuss/vote on these bills in June, just before their summer recess. What we need to do right now is put as much pressure as possible on NJ lawmakers to move on this issue and pass a marijuana legalization bill.

they should just decriminalize adult use
makes things way easier
no shuffling around with the laws every election year

The MJ wave is coming can you feel it? Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, Michigan, Vermont, New Jersey, Florida...all possibles to allow recreational weed in the 2018 midterms.

If you have a medical card you should be able to purchase mmi anywhere.

I found medical marijuana in places such as ny,pa and nj.

It's not all it's cracked up to be. Well it is convenient if you smoke pot. Within a mile of my house are 5 of them. I don't really care what anyone does. Unfortunate I personally stopped smoking weed before this boom. I'll occasionally go to them to get my gf a bowl. As she's way chiller after smoking a bowl.

I disagree. We need to push for full scale legalization like in CO, CA, and elsewhere. Decrim is a half measure that causes a person who grows weed to go to prison and have felony criminal record. We need to not only stop arresting people for simple possession, but go a step further and establish a legal market where adults can purchase cannabis.

Vermont has already legalized recreational marijuana (at least growing and possessing, no established legal market as of right now)

NJ cannot allow recreational weed by ballot measure in Nov. 2018. It has to be done by an act of the state legislature, and that is why we need to call, mail, email, and petition state lawmakers to get this done even though the governor promised it months ago.

But yes I definitely agree the momentum is strong, and we need to keep it going

It appears, Michigan legislators prevented full legalization vote for this year, they want keep it strictly medicinal, and yes a couple of these do have medicinal, but more info by members that know about voting for full legalization, would be appreciated. I know Oklahoma as a deep red is a surprise, we will have to wait an see how the vote goes.

Things are looking positive in Oklahoma seemingly, just gotta hope the people get off their asses and vote. Polls and other numbers by far favor medical legalization. We also have a petition going round to get recreational on the november ballot with a back up for medical if we dont pass it in june.

You never know though i lived in cali years ago when the pot crowd couldnt get up to vote and it took several years. Now that im gone its legal there...Oklahoma needs the revenue but state is so behind in the times theyre not sure how to set up and regulate this new stuff.
