 excuses for buying syringes?

I'm going to head down to the local pharmacy and buy a huge box of syringes and needles. So... what is a legit reason for that? Just in case I have a curious clerk. I was thinking... "I'm making single use inkjet refills." Either that or I have some crazy diabetic uncle who needs 10cc syringes and 18ga needles (ouch!).
Any ideas?

Feeding baby/sickly pets. Or you could just say you're doing a mycology experiment and need syringes to inoculate your substrate with spore solution, I don't think many people automatically associate mycology with psychedelics.

insulin syringes are never over 2cc's... antibiotics for cattle is a better 'excuse' but in the US most pharmacies are required by law to request a DEA control number for all syringes...

"I have dry-rot in my window sill... I need the biggest syringe you've got to inject some pvc glue in there."
I've used both of these successfully

who gives a fuck, you are in legal right to BUY syringes, if they will sell them... just tell them you are growing illegal mushrooms... nah for real though, if you know what you are doing, you can buy all of the items for growing without ever having to talk to the workers...

I realize that, but I just don't want to look sketchy. I'm in a small town. If I'm sketchy, I'll be noticed. When I went to the nursery to buy vermiculite, she asked me what it was for. Hell, I don't know what you're "supposed" to do with vermiculite. I just told her I was picking it up for somebody else.
But with syringes, I can't walk in there and rattle off "I want 10cc syringes with 18ga 1.5 inch needles" and then act like I don't know what the hell they're for.

go there with 10cc 18g 1.5in written on a piece of paper and go to the desk and be like
i want um... pull the paper out of your pocket and read it slowly
10cc uh 18g syringes...
1.5 inch needles
if they ask, you uncle/dad/grandpa/friend/whatever sent you to get them for his pigs, a feed store is a better place to get them than a pharmacy btw.

I wouldn't walk into my pharmacy and ask for 50 syringes, especially if you live in a small town. Best bet would probably be to go get yourself a money order and buy them from one of the shroomery's vendors..... Good Luck!

Good idea phenethyl, I always consider playing dumb to be the safest way out of anything.
By the way, I developed a "boil" or something on my forearm that looks like infection from shooting up, so that's another reason I want to play it safe.

you'd have to be fuckin crazy to use 18g to shoot up 
i'm sure people are aware of that 18g aren't used for drugs, at
least not for humans, 25,28g are a lot more suspicious.

You don't need an excuse. But i got one that will work for just about anything (hopeufully): just say you and your friends are shooting an amatuer film about drug culture, and you need syringes as props. hehe

i went to get syringes once and the lady at the pharmacy gave me a lot of shit and told me under no circumstances do they sell them unless you have a rx. then i told her i was a biology major and needed them to inject solution into slides for microscopy...she totally bought it and sold em to me.
