I would love to see the Cavs get the 3 seed and see them in the ECF. Also for the Rockets to defeat a weak warriors.

Id like to see the raptors get passed the 76ers, nevermind kendrick perkins and the cavs

And the rockets would lose 4-2 at best in a series with the warriors

Edit - yea, me too id love to see the rockets beat the warriors, and id love to see the raptors/76ers face the rockets in the finals, actually id rather have thr thunder in the finals if we're dreaming...but im afraid its going to be lebron losing to the warriors 4-1 in a boring NBA finals

I def always enjoy watching the timberwolves play, I've got NBAtv which allows me to watch a lot of teams id miss on the regular channels that show the games

Im a hockey player, or i was at a high level in my youth (i played for the Kitchener rangers in the OHL), but basketball has always been my  to watch/play

Forgot to say - im a big fan of karl towns, especially him being a NJ guy, besides that i truly enjoy his game

Are you guys up in Ontario "really" big raptors fans?

I dont mean to sound stupid, its just i assumed hockey was first, and basketball  just an american transplant sport forced on you guys

I'm on the west coast man. We are the 6th biggest market in the league. Coast to coast fans. Hockey is more popular, but there are still lots of NBA fans.  We the North.





We got this little party called Jurassic Park during the playoffs.

I didnt know that

I think its still fair to say that basketball through its history was a bigger part of American culture, and my assumption that there may be less fans in Canada than america was not unfounded

That being said, the raptors have been on the come up in recent years, im excited to see the playoffs unfold, are you guys going to be watching?

Yeah hockey is definitely a lot bigger here.

I have never seen a Raptors game but I'll watch the odd hockey or baseball game once in a blue moon. I was a big Jurassic Park fan when I was a kid though, and when they were talking about picking a name for the team the newspaper did this telephone poll on it and I voted for "Raptors" more times than it won by.

We should build resort-style closed communities for our best scientists, no expenses spared, where they if they feel so inclined have access to nootropics, psychedelics and dissociatives, isolation tanks, meditation facilities, where they could work at tackling the main problems of our time together and who's conclusions should directly influence policy.

This should be prioritized with the same urgency and level of funding as the Manhattan Project, and for the same but greater reason, because the war that needs to be won now is not Allies vs Axis but Humanity vs Extinction and this time the odds are against us.

LOOK AT THE HISTORY OF APPLE.

They essentially created a ball pit for their innovators to leisurely come up with stuff and look where Apple was then and where it is now. We need that for society.

Thats one of the tasks set before the scientists, to unfuck society on every level. Screw tax records, make it that all political nominees have to pass a thorough psychiatric screening to weed out the more problematic conditions.

so you dont want democracy? there should be someone who has the ability to prevent the people from electing their leader? you trust them to use this power responsibly and not use it to get around democracy? wow you really must trust the government if you are willing to give them that power.
