That was pretty funny, just about everybody was flipped out when he said that.

Death angels give all Amanita a bad name to most people. I wonder how many think he's crazy.

I'm really disappointed I missed this.

I see how it is in Georgia.  I can talk about eating magic mushrooms all I want, but talk about eating edible Amanitas and everyone loses their mind.

I would like to have been a fly on the wall to see what was said after your speech. Hopefully no one called you a druggie or anything like that 2 ur face. People in the deep south tend to be closed minded about anything that can be called a drug. They eat up that Jeff Sessions propaganda

Everyone was super polite, the audience was really into the talk.

I started out by identifying mushrooms live on Mushroom Observer and then did 30 minutes of DNA sequence analysis and building phylogenetic trees with Mega 7 before starting the Mexico powerpoint - that way no one could complain when I talked about Psilocybes.

They wouldn't have complained anyway, everyone in the audience was pro-psilocybe, or just kept quiet.

The Georgia talk didn't get recorded, but the South Carolina one was uploaded to youtube by David Daniel, who was sitting in the front row.

I don't know anyone who believes any of the propaganda bullshit the media spouts.  But I'm sure there are a good bit around here that do.  Most people I talk to have always been interested in them, they just don't trust buying them from some sketchy pot dealer. Hahaha.

Powerpoint slides from my talk today at University of Florida in Gainesville.  No video exists.

It's a large file, half a gig.  You will need MS powerpoint or the free Open Office to read it.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/FungalSequencing has some videos of Alan demonstrating his sequence analysis flow if you missed the talk.

I've never been to a mcg meeting before. I thought the entire talk was great. A lot of the older people were either napping or mind blown with the sequencing and genetics intro.

I wish I would have met up with some of you guys.  Lots of laughter and audible gasps from different groups.
