What do you think of my poem

I've been having a lot of creative juices flow lately and have started writing poems among other amazing and creative things. Here is my poem:

Love is like a dog in purgatory
Life is a grape that's been left in the sun too long
People are like mutated bacteria
Dmt is the best chemical on earth

I like the switching of similes and metaphors but I can’t say I understand the message you are trying to get across.

Though I would argue people /are/ mutated Bactria

Wouldn’t know about the dmt line, but based on others descriptions I’d say you mut be right.
