Staying Up To See The Blood Moon
    #24956071 -

For countless generations of our ancestors moments like this marked powerful and significant points in time. And yet today people are too busy and disconnected to even know that it is happening or to care. Tonight I'm staying up beside a fire to watch this super moon as it slowly tranaitions to glory. Won't you join me?

Yes! I've been inside tonight, but keep popping out to my porch until it gets too cold. I gathered my stones from around the house and have them soaking in this special light. I definitely feel affected by the moon's energy. Yesterday I was very sensitive/emotional/irritable, and today I've been productive and organizing my house. I wonder what tomorrow will bring.

The night is getting cold. But this fire is warm. Still no sign of the eclipse.

Clear night here in the desert. I hope the clouds pass for you. Thank you for the kind words. Coyotes are howling here tonight.

Its after 4am and still no sign of the eclipse. I've checked several websites and see that different sites have different times listed for when this is supposed to happen in my area. I'll ride this out until sunrise. Anyone see it yet?

Well I just saw a partial eclipse, it has now went below the horizon and it was at about 60%. Time is 7:27 EST 1/21/17

Sun has also come up so it's not like I would have seen any red anyways.

Around 5am clouds rolled in and began to obscure my view of the moon. I could still make out it's silohuette but it's brightness was diminished. At the same time the top of the moon began to grow dark. At first I thought it was from the clouds but then slowly I realized that the eclipse was beginning. Gradually the darkness crept down the cloudy silohuette of the moon. And then when the darkness had blackened all but a thin crescent at the bottom of the moon the clouds cleared and I watched the final 10 minutes as the crescent of light at the bottom of the moon was slowly engulfed by darkness. Once the whole moon was darkened its color changed to a dull copper color, like a giant dull penny hanging low in the sky. It shined that dull copper and hung there for awhile as I observed it and reflected on it's meaning.

Such an odd night. The bright full moon. The cold. The fire. The solitude. I waited so long for the eclipse to come. And finally it arrived and surprised me with its understated sublime peacefulness. As I watched darkness overtaking the moon on it's way to full eclipse I couldn't help but think of the unexpected setbacks with my health and finances that overtook me in 2017. And as I watched the peaceful copper moon in it's full eclipse I couldn't help but hope for a renewal and an abundance of blessings for me and my family in 2018. And I hope the same for all of you as well. I will never forget this night.

I woke up after nodding off to see the eclipse starting....timed it perfectly.
Was pretty amazing it gives the mind some context for the distances around us.

Glad you made it till 4 thats quite an effort.

I saw it!  I am on the West Coast in Northern California in the US.  It was absolutely gorgeous, much better then I thought it would be.

We had no clouds, a complete view!  First, around 4:15 AM PST it was very bright, but not that huge.  So as it got brighter and brighter, it peaked - and you could see so well!  Then, it started to be eclipsed - slowly, and slower - it peeled back and revealed itself in darkness and it got darker and darker.. until around 4:45 AM in the morning it eclipsed.  It was so dark, you couldn't see more then a few feet away from your face. I can imagine the ancients seeing this as the end of days!  After about 15 minutes of total darkness, the light cam back - slowly.  The moon then was painted red, a bright Mars red... and was that way for an hour almost until the sun started to rise and the moon returned to normal.

Absolutely gorgeous, feel very blessed that it happened to my family and I all at once in the same place.  Very lucky.

Only wish I had some DMT or Ketamine or BOTH for it!
