I thought it was just a shadow or something, until it made a left turn. Pretty neat.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Earth's second one is called Cruithne. It was discovered in 1986 and it takes a convoluted horseshoe path around our planet as it is tossed about by the Earth's and the Moon's gravity.

That's a neat article, although your explanation doesn't account for the sudden left turn the object makes.

I didn't see a sudden left turn just a constant same speed shadow moving across the screen. Most importantly, I didn't see the elapsed time frame of which the footage took place. Orbits take a while.

The moon has no atmosphere, so what would a weather balloon do on the moon?

I think everybody's used to saying it's a weather balloon when it comes down to stuff like that, that they don't reason it anymore

Yes it made a left turn. You have to watch it all the way to the end. Don't have a clue what it was though. I'm sure if only the Italians saw it and no one else it is sure to be forgotten.
On second thought, it was probably a beetle crawling on the lens.

I'm saying it wasn't sudden. I should have bolded or italics that word I guess. Anyway, time lapse info would be nice to have.

There's a lot of strange phenomena up there.
Research the NASA videos of when Ken Mattingly (sp?) sees flashes and round balls of light flying across the moons surface. Very bizarre, it cannot be claimed to be ball lightening etc as the moon (obviously) has no atmosphere.
NASA thought maybe it was meteor or something - so they checked their seismometers but it wasn't anything like that either.
There's also this image which appears to be something...

The video is better than this pic...
There's also this thing seen flying around space...

And on the subject of UFOs, there was a mass sighting in my country recently of this phenomena...
