I Love This NIN Song, It's So Over The Top In Your Face ID.  From the deepest parts of your consciousness the worst comes out.  I'm sure in retrospect he says this song is a joke.

    "The record was nearing completion. I had written those lyrics pretty quickly and I didn't know if I was going to use them or not. To me, Downward Spiral builds to a certain degree of madness, then it changes. That would be the last stage of delirium. So the original point of "Big Man With A Gun" was madness. It sure is ironic; however, Reznor gets a pass for being a cool rock star!  Moreover, he is not responsible for brokering peace deals and maintaining the decorum of the country.  I'd like to think that Reznor's music is powerful enough to effectively changed policy for the betterment of society, but that is not the case.  Reznor's songs do not change legislation.

do you have to be the purest saint in all the land in order to hold an opinion about the president?  so what if trent reznor is "vulgar"?  then what?  trent reznor is not the president, trent reznor is an artist. do you think that trump isn't vulgar?
