I also experienced this. I tried two different batches of eqs, the first colonized in 11 days, the second colonized in around 14-15. Both batches ended up contaminated, but the coloinization itself was very quick. I just tried the cambodians, expecting it to be even faster, and it took over 20days for every jar. Almost about the same as PF jars. Both the ecuadors and the cambodians recieved roughly the same amount of spores per jar.

The eqs aren't supposed to be slow, but from what I had heard the cambodians were supposed to be faster.

Same thing happened to me but then the cams had a "groth spurt" and left the eq's in the dust the cambodians are the fastest things I have seen.
