Aquarium heater recomendation
    #2460573 -

I recently bought an aquarium heater which i'm not to happy with and was wondering if anyone has a recomendation for one? Is there any that allow you to set it to the exact temp? The one i have right now you have to keep monitoring it and turning it on to get the temp higher which is getting annoying.

I bought a cheap one at Wal-mart $6.96 and it keeps my 10 gallon terrarium at 80'f(lil' low) its for a 5 gal aquarium-4 inch/7.5 watt.
but hey I'm cheap- 3-5 more bucks will get you to 85'f

I have a 50 watt aquarium heater that i bought just for my incubator for 12$ , it keeps the air temperature all the time at 26 C degrees when set to 31 C on the heater thermometer ...

I'm satisfied with it , provides enough heat and its even good for humidity ...

yeah...does your heater let you set the temperature directly? mine only had settings for HOTTER and COOLER...

this one says the temp range goes up to 94 degrees...should be able to get me to 84 degrees or so using the tub in tub method right?

"Won Pro Heat IC Aquarium Heater"
Look for them on E-Bay
only need 50 watts
with this set up the temperature control can be set in with the jars

It's a controller with a remote temp sensor. By placing the
sensor near the jars you will regulate the temps around
the jars. My cousin uses hers with a 150W heater in a 18gal
tub-in-tub. If the Won unit fails you need to replace the whole
unit. With this setup you only need to replace the failed part
(usually the heater).

BTW, the pic was from a website. She paid much less locally.

How about this. Has a sensor that goes in the incubator, so it goes by the exact temp of the inside of the chamber and not the water surrounding it. Plus it gives a readout telling you the exact temp inside the chamber and you can set it without opening it.

Actually it was about 45 bucks. The heater part that heats up is titanium not glass so it won't break if there are any fuckups.

Nice heater!! I'll bet it makes for a more stable incubating temperature! I might have to invest in one. Did you see any smaller wattage heaters with the same features? 350w is a little big for me.
Nice set up Magash!!

They have them from 1000 watt down to 100. They all look and work the same.
