Am I safe?

oh this is just a hypothetical situation  :smirk:

OK so say I know someone who sends me MJ through the mail. VERY discretely and successfully. it's something I don't go around boasting about, of course. only mt roomies know about it. well, a month or so ago I got a letter and my roomie checked the mail when he got off work. So he comes bustin in the door all excited and was like 'look what you got!! break out the pipes!!' ...little did he know my GF at the time was there. we had been on-again off-again for two years so I thought it was ok she knew about it and didnt realy think anything of it.

we break up in a very NASTY break-up. She had fucked up her car like 3 weeks before and it had been siting in my apt complex parking lot, right in front in a good space. well the apt complex tows it and she thinks I made them. well, they were just waiting for the tags to expire on it, and they just happened to expire the day after our huge fight.

anyway I get a call from her mom about how she's going to report my little mailing scheme and i should be "very concerned" and this that and the other.

here's the fact: they don't know my exact mailing address.

so even IF they went through on this threat (they didn't go through on any other threats) all they can go by is my name, and I assume whoever they tell will just look up the DMV and 'flag' the addres i have on file there. which is fine becuase the address i use on my license is my parent's address. OR will they enter my name in some system and  flag any mail addressed to me? OR do they have some type of database showing every address that mail in my name has ever been sent to and flag all those addresses?

I mean I figure I could just get a PO Box, but then it would have to be in my name, and if they flag everything mailed to my name i could get caught.

OR I could just have people send me stuff at my apt address but put it to a different name?

what do i do??

EX's are pretty high up on the list of ways to get yourself busted..........

But she might be just blowing smoke up your arse......still ounce of prevention is worth a kilo in cure.....no doubt...

I would stop for awhile.....maybe keep your house free of illegal shit for a couple months........

Or find a really good friends house to have it mailed to or have this friend get you the PO box.......

pot through mail why?!

i could understand like acid or mushrooms or some shit that might be hard to find in your area, but pot? heh you can get that stuff everywhere no need to mail it.

anyways there's not much they can do really, like saying i know some guy and he sold crack once, can't do anything about that unless you caught him selling crack again you know. possibly they might suspect your mail moreso than others but that's still kinda hard, they deal with tons of mail each day.

pot fuckin smells though and is easy to detect through mail with dogs ect. and takes up alot of space. defentaly very stupid to keep recieving it through the mail, you'll eventually get some shit for it. you can say you didn't know what it was ect. there are a few ways to get out of it if you do get caught but they are a big hassle, defentaly not worth gettin high, trust me. i would rather buy pot off the corner in the ghetto than through the mail, i'm pretty sure it's a felony to mail drugs opposed to a misdemanor of possesion.

no doubt, weed is fucking everywhere. everyone and their parents smoke weed, i wouldnt even fuck around with mailing weed. your safe because if there is no evidence they can't do shit from just her saying you did it. I wouldn't continue to do it though, talk to some people in your area... i guarantee if you look you will find weed everywhere.

oh because this weed is better than ANYTHING I can get around here. and even IF I could find something this good here it would be so much more expensive than what I pay now.

Anyway I'm supposed to be getting some goodies other than weed through the mail. I just had whoever send it to my address but in my Ex's name LOL

that way if they do try shit I'd be like 'they set me up, see it's addressed to my ex!'

But like someone said the police can't do anything about it without concrete evidence and I wasn't having like pounds shipped in just anywhere from 5-10 grams.

I doubt they even went through with it. They threatened to have the police raid my apt, call my mom and tell on me (WTF? I'm 21 years old and my mom knows I smoke), fuck up my car, put a restraining order on me (when they were the ones that kept coming to my house and calling my phone), and they were gonna send some gang of fucked up tweakers to kick my ass at work.

LOL actually I don't think I'm too worried about it now.

I do belive that if you get something in the mail and open it...even if it isnt addressed to you its still on you whatever it is. I think. can someone make this clear to me?

in thoery you can always say 'hey this isn't me' and return it to the post office... unopened and not be responsible for whats in it. and if something happened to be intersected you can still be like 'this isn't addressed to me therefore it's not mine'

I still think they were just blowin steam out of their asses. I mean they didn't even follow trough on the stupidest, easiest, and least time-consuming threat, calling my mom. I doubt they went through the trouble of filing some type of complaint like that.

I mean if they had wouldn't I have gotten some type of letter or visit from an officer or something?

they could just be watching you for now... police tend to not make themselfs apparent until they believe that they can get some hard evidence. I wouldnt worry about it too much though, cops would tend not to bother with "5-10 gr."s being mailed to anyone... they figure it will get caught in the mail. They arent gonna look for weed, that can't get them bonuses, a big crack bust or something of that nature is money in the departments pocket from the state.
