Japan is messed up because everyone's incentive to start a family is happening later and later around the world

The main problem is their honor culture there, the people that work in office jobs are there at least 60 hours a week because they think it's rude to leave before your boss so they have like 10 hour days in the office at work and in those last two hours they don't really do anything
they talk about reducing the amount of suicides there but in reality they are just making it legal to work these long grueling hours, up to 100 a week!
So considering how cramped it is in some parts, how much time they spend at work doing literally nothing it can be said that most sane people wouldn't want to bring children into that kind of environment

What about the missing men and leftover women in England? What I think it is is evidence of a retreating patriarchy. If women are 60% of college students and graduates, it's reasonable to assume that younger women at least may surpass their male peers in salary. But women still expect for their partners to have equal or greater status. There's no missing men. Women haven't adapted to the idea of dating down yet. In fact it may even go against their biological mandates to date down (females generally seek for security and males for fertility). The lesson here is when women surpass men nobody is happy because women ultimately want for a strong, successful husband. And nobody wants for men to withdraw from society either. That won't make them happy I don't believe. We are not meant to serve just ourselves.
