I remember when I used to see lots of hitchhikers. Haven't seen one in years that I can recall. Once I gave a guy and his dog a ride. I was driving a beater at the time.

OP has gone oddly silent. Lets hope it wasn't some violent lunatic. I'll give a bum a buck but not a ride, nope sorry.

Anyone may state beliefs based on political dogmatism or anything else.  That is the thing that "makes America Great".
