peruvian torch length question

In all the preparation guides I've read it said to use about 12 to 18 inches of cacti would 2 or 3 6 inch cacti work, or does it have to be one large chunk? ...

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, or if this has been asked out ... I did search, but I'm a bit out of it right now, please excuse me ...

you want about a pound and a half / person.
not length, and certainly not with our peruvian friend...
no it doesnt need to be in one peice

if it is just two little pieces then the potency can be very unpredictable, from one to the other. also, young branches are not that potent at all because the strength goes with age. so, if you get a nice sized chunk that means that it has a good bit of age on it and the potency, for the most part, remains the same through out the branch (it does tend to be more potent toward the middle of the branch though).
