i am a HUGE beatles fan. they are one of my 2 favorite bands! i think that fixin a hole has to be the best "tripping" song ever.
Quote:
I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in And stops my mind from wandering Where it will go
I'm filling the cracks that ran through the door And kept my mind from wandering Where it will go
And it really doesn't matter if I'm wrong I'm right Where I belong I'm right Where I belong
See the people standing there who disagree and never win And wonder why they don't get in my door
I'm painting my room in a colourful way And when my mind is wandering There I will go
And it really doesn't matter if I'm wrong I'm right Where I belong I'm right Where I belong
Silly people run around, they worry me And never ask me why they don't get past my door
I'm taking the time for a number of things That weren't important yesterday And I still go
Fixing a hole where the rain gets in Stops my mind from wandering Where it will go
.......my favortire line would have to be. "im takeing the time for a number of things, thet werent important yesterday" that is SOOOO true! peace, -m69-

I'm still undecided as to whether or not I prefer Pink Floyd to The Beatles. I know they'reccompletely different bands, but they're definitely within my top three list. I was listening to The Beatles alone, thanks to my dear mum back when I was 7 or so, and only later on in life decided to listen to PF. They're definitely both amazing bands!

I really dont have a top 10 list, i just have bands that i like. Beatles is definatle one of them. Listen to them almost everyday. Heres my list, no particular order:
Beatles Grateful Dead Pink Floyd Jimi Hendrix The Doors Cream of Clapton Eric Clapton Nirvana Metallica Sublime Silverchair Soundgarden Stone Temple Pilots Led Zepplin Phish Widespread Panik.
None of these bands will every be forgotten, and i can name a hundred others that no one will ever remember. Bands like this dont come along that often.

i think the question is, are there any NON-beatles fans.
and the answer is no.
maybe it hasn't surfaced because its such a given

I finally got the White Ablum . The Beatles are great, listening to them now with some mushrooms and nitrous. Still my guitar gently weeps.

I love the beatles from Rubber Soul onwards... before this album I don't like them... yeah they were still a great band, but too superficial for me. Revolver is one of my all-time favorite albums, and basically any song by George (any beatles song with sitar or tabla or tripped out things in the background, basically) is a good song by me.
