Acid or no...?

Hey my friend and i have been discussing whether or not to trip on some acid. We smoke a lot, and lately have been really into shrooms, but they are so rare where we live... We are debating whether or not to do acid b/c we love tripping and want a somewhat stronger trip and want to experience it, but at the same time we know how bad it can be for you. We dont want to do it once then want to do it again and again and get hooked on it though. Im afraid that will happen like it did with the shrooms. We used to be pretty dead set against anythign but weed, but shrooms changed our mind and now we r looking to expand our horizons but again dont want to get hooked on it. Is it safe to do only once, or will the one trip leave us begging for more? also if we were to do it we would plan for the summer (long ways away) and go on an awesome hiking adventure near our town for the day? Please give us some advice but remember that we want it as a one time thing. Thanks, Zac

Let me enlighten you.

I have tripped on mushrooms over 10 times, starting 4 years ago. This year i finally had acid and i realized it was what i wanted since the beginning.

Yes you should take acid.

It is not in the same box as pot coke or heroin.
Acid is the key.
Please ask anyquestions that may concern you.

I'm not sure you'll want to go on a hiking adventure for your first trip. Surely, you might want to experiance nature. Nothing better than that. But you also want to be in an environment that can be changed if needs be.

acid is not all that bad for i think.I doesnt make holes in your brain or i doesnt have rat poisen like the media tells us.

acid is the best thing in the whole world. GREAT EXPERIENCE. don't believe me? read my trip report. just be in a good enviornment and you should have a blast. I owuld suggest 2 hits for a good time! acutally GREAT time. My last trip was so enlgihtening. you can;t say no to acid my friend

I'm probably gana get flamed for this but i'ld not recomend taking acid ever. It's true that it doesn't put holes in your brain, or make it bleed. It's also true that it's a crazy experiance. I've only taken it 3 times, and have not taken it in years. I get ocational flashbacks sometimes not for months at a time, an sometimes feverl times in a week. It's the one thing that I wish I had never taken.

Just to let you know acid has barely any bad health effects for a steady sane person. Key word is sane. If you have mild cases of schitsofrania (spelling)then this drug is dangerous. Lsd brings out mental problems if they are already there. It can not make ones that do not already exist. If you are mentaly stable then LSD will be a beautiful experience. As someone said, nature is the key. If you are worried about any health risks nothing physical happens. This drug has rumors spinning around it so fast that before i tried it i thought it put holes in your spine and made you go crazy after 3 times. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. I dont want to support anyone but the shroomery but so you feel safe i would go to erowid.com and look up what they say. Then you will understand the true facts or LSD. It is pretty much perfectly safe with moderation. 1 trip every 2 weeks is fine to my knowledge. Best of luck and hapy tripping.

remember im not a scientist. Im not to be taken as pure fact just like everyone else here. These are opinions and a mild knowledge. Thats why i suggest erowid just for the pure facts for the first time users.

Are you only warning against acid because you got flashbacks? I think you're the first person I've ever seen who a) actually GETS flashbacks, let alone that frequently b) Doesnt enjoy them! Most people see it as a "free trip" or a "reminder" of the ownage.

So aside from flashbacks, why do you regret acid?

Flashbacks? Usually called free trips? I was under the impression that a 'flashback' isn't anythingl ike a full blown trip.

You're right, I made that sound weird. I guess what I wanted to say is... yes I have heard of people getting flashbacks, but they are not scary or unenjoyable. I've done acid once, and a load of other hallucinogens, never had a flashback, but there have been times where I had some sort of reminder, or a "trigger" that made me remember how I felt during a trip. To me.. that is a good thing... if you like tripping, why wouldn't you like getting a slight flashback?

When I said I have never heard of people getting flashbacks, I meant the flashbacks that the DARE program warns you of, full blown panic and complete disconnection for a short period of time. I know lots of people who have used a lot of acid and they don't get anything like that. Maybe some do, not that I've talked to.

And even so... that seems like a small price to pay for such a great experience.
