Nah it wasn't rigged

The Falcons just blew it

I mean yeah, much credit to the Patriots for a phenomenal comeback for the ages, but the Falcons had the ball at the 22 yard line with under 5 minutes to play. I know hindsight is 20/20 but jeezus, you're up 8 points at that point -- a FG ends the game. And the Falcons were in FG range. Well within FG range. If you just run it twice up the middle there, and don't even gain an inch, it's still a chip shot 39 yard field goal. Which would make it a 2 possession game with like 4 minutes left.

It would've been a wrap.

Instead they inexplicably call a pass play, get sacked and lose major yardage, and then call another pass play and get hit with a holding penalty. That moved them back even further.

Out of a field goal range.

Which led to a punt and setting the table for the most clutch quarterback in NFL history to go down for the game tying score.

How come all of a sudden they do stupid shit? IDC really. It just seems so fake. Maybe they got big headed and just fucked up like hillary celebrating before she won.:scat: I did used to watch football some back in the 80's when the cowboys were "americas team" and some when I was pre-teen, but then I discovered so many better things to do.

That would mean the Falcons threw the game on purpose. What would be their incentive? Money? These players are already paid millions and millions. The players already have more money than they know what to do with. And their owner is worth 3.3 billion dollars, lol.

And what would be the NFL's incentive? The match-up was already set. I've always believed that the NFL will sway outcomes of games if they can (via ref favoritism) in the playoffs to get better match-ups for ratings (which is what it's all about), but the Superbowl was already set. There is no more next game. So fixing the game for a certain winner gains them nothing.

A coworker of mine was saying the same thing tonight, and you could tell that he couldn't be convinced otherwise. But his angle, without really saying it (I know this because he's basically said it before in not so many words), was that the NFL just wanted white man poster boy Tom Brady to win (this dude, who's black, makes it pretty clear that he thinks the whole country is fixed to always make the white person the winner, whether it's jobs, politics, sports, or just life in general).

It wasn't fixed. The Falcons just blew it. I give all the credit in the world to New England for playing great down the stretch, but in the end the Falcons have nobody but themselves to blame. They repeatedly left the door cracked for the Patriots and in the end the most clutch quarterback in the history of that sport finally kicked the door in and ran right through it.

I don't know, it's a mystery but there's credible rumors that this suspect got away with it

Here's a police sketch as described by a witness

It wasn't fixed.  Brady just embodied his inner-Trump.

You're right.  The Falcons were oppressed by the fact that Matt Ryan is a 47 year-old lesbian.
