how can you be positive when your dad has cancer? fuck I can't believe this he's only 55. I told him about rick simp son's hash oil ahh man I can't do anything anymore. i can't watch movies or concentrate on anything. god works in mysterious ways, i'm sure he'll pull through. I was told i was going to jail for two years of waiting and postponing court dates and i knew god was testing me cause what you wanna do is say What the fuck god? why are you doing this? but he wants to test your faith

Jimmy carter did some special treatment for melanoma and was cured as far as I know, and he was like 90 years old. I think he did a newer type of chemo or some thing and it was really dank for him, check it out maybe
Quote:
On August 20, he disclosed that melanoma had been found in his brain and liver, and that he had begun treatment with the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab and was about to start radiation therapy. His healthcare is being managed by Emory Healthcare of Atlanta. The former President has an extensive family history of cancer, including both of his parents and all three of his siblings.[210] On December 6, 2015, Carter issued a statement that his medical scans no longer showed any cancer.

OP I probably understand more then anyone here what this kind of situation is like. I lost my grandfather to melanoma ,my mom has had cancer 3 times and my father currently has CNS damage from toxic chemicals ,fiber glass in his lungs and has technically been terminal a total of 8 years. 3 years more then the experts thought. He has been on life support 3 times when I was 16-21 each near death. I had to sign "end of life orders",when to pull the plug etc.
I'm never truly happy and not many people can understand why because any day he could die and worse is predicted to. He has the use of one lung. This causes the worst part of myself to come out, sometimes I'm aburupt with my father because I'm mad at the disease. Ever since I was 16 I've had an extremely hard time treating him the same as if he wasn't marked terminal.
Over the years I've gotten a lot better at treating him as if I know for a fact he won't die(which is extremely important even if you don't believe it). This is a tough facade but if he has support, love, constant care, mental, physical care I believe this helps him improve. Mmj actually has been a huge health booster in his life and I swear he would've died years ago without it.Also I took 24/7 care of my gma with Alzheimer's and unfortunately in her situation there really was no hope.
So what am I saying to you? I can't say you should be able to just put that emotion on the back burner.I can't say it doesn't change your life .Honestly I don't know what to say except there is always hope as long as you stay strong for your family. Also it isn't fair,no one should have to go through this little alone an entire family(which always happens) . Life isn't fair but no matter what happens ONE day you'll be able to love life again. The easy way or the hard way. Anytime you need to get the anxiety, pain, depression off your chest please me .

You be positive and you like it, thats how. My dad has had cancer on his brainstem for a while now and is quite fucked up.....but such is life. You do what you can and apreciate every little thing you possibly can because life is short. There is no time to be sad.

It's impartive you let yourself be sad about it occasionally. Unless you want to explode. I too thought no room for sadness, be strong and positive for your family and that I couldn't be sad without making my family sad. That last part I feel I was very wrong about.
Trying to deny yourself sadness isnt healthy and it's just prolonging processing your feelings. I've been grieving badly for over 2 years with my grandma , she was my best friend and lived with her for 17 years. Even though her
Alzheimer's was bad(ie hallucinations, not knowing anyone, not remembering how to eat or drink. It wasn't until 2 weeks before she died that I accepted that she was going to die, she had been suffering for 6 years(counting her Dementia stage) and they told us it was 100% terminal. I wanted to stay positive and not allow myself to be sad to stay strong for my family. It worked but I could have not buried my feelings deep down, deny that she could die it ended up hurting me more then I think it would've if I would have processed it and allowed all my feelings to be felt so to speak.
This being said I'm not saying wallow in sadness and definitely can't let it consume you. I'm just saying repressing those things personally hurt me in the wrong one

thanks guys, he's gonna see soon how much it has spread and if a surgery will be enough. Through my experiences with mushrooms and dmt i really believe in god and i think him fighting it and beating it will make him stronger in the end. it just hasn't sunken in yet.

If he wants to beat it, he has to fight. They probably will give him chemo. If so, be sure to get him to smoke some weed with you. It's a great anti-nausea drug.

There's no god that gives a shit about you, your dad, your faith, or "testing" you. Believing like that is the lowest level of religious faith and understanding that exists. Do yourself a favor and get off that crutch.
